About Anne Baird, and eGoddessCards
Anne Baird is a self-taught artist who's been drawing and writing since childhood. Her chosen media for her unique line of greeting cards is watercolor, with touches of gouache, ink and colored pencil.
She's the author of 11 successful published children's books (William Morrow and Simon & Schuster), and is a freelance artist and journalist who worked for three newspapers and for private clients. She's a regular contributor of illustrated pieces, written from the goddess perspective, for two online magazines. (Amaze Magazine and Pagan Pages.)
Her original Goddess Cards line grew from a single birthday card she created for her youngest daughter, who was disheartened at being a curvaceous beauty in the Land of Thin. (Los Angeles.) That seminal card declaring, "You're a GODDESS, not a nymph!" evolved into a collection of over 100 love notes and affirmations for ALL women.
Anne's "real" cards are sold in stores and online across North America, and even in the UK and Australia. Merchants and customers order cards online, and we ship them to them. The line has steadily grown, and will continue to be available on our sister website, www.goddesscards.com
Recently, however, Anne noticed that she was so busy she was frequently emailing images instead of snail-mailing cards. It was the only way she could ensure that her greetings arrived on time. The light went on.
It was time to launch a virtual card company for the Goddess on the Go!
Now, for a modest annual membership fee of $19.95 ~ less than the minimum online order for 8 real cards, not counting shipping and mailing ~ a Goddess in a Hurry can send as many virtual "ecards" as she likes. In addition, egoddesscards will keep an address book for you, and send reminders of significant dates you have specified, or even send birthday cards automatically. How wonderful is that?
Best of all, our new egoddesscards.com company will be totally GREEN! No printing, shipping, storage of inventory. This allows Anne to pass savings on to her customers, and to devote herself to creating many new cards.
Please let us know if there are cards you would like to see included in our egoddesscards collection. (Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org )
Anne loves to hear from the goddess community. If your suggestion has universal appeal, she will try to create it.
"Keep the ideas coming," she says. "Women and their lives are my inspiration."
